Connecting to Others is presented by IndigenEYEZ facilitator Jeska Slater. This webinar focuses on connecting to others in Indigenous ways. We will share oral histories and stories that embody the traditional values that breathe life back into our communities. Participants will learn about essential means of connecting including deep listening, strength-based communication, appreciative inquiry, and celebrating successes.

This session will:

  • Share insights and activities that support us to enhance our relationships and navigate challenging ones.
  • Discuss patterns and ways of being in our communities that are a result of residential schools and colonization.
  • Encourage participants to go deeper in identifying the masks and triggers that prevent us from showing up authentically.
