Reconcili-ACTION!

Aug 18, 2020—Kelowna, BC: We’re excited to announce our latest online workshop offering: Reconcili-ACTION, Build Meaningful Relations with Indigenous People.

In partnership with Andrew Greer, Managing Director at Purppl (Purposeful People), a Social Enterprise Accelerator. Purppl helps social enterprises and social purpose organizations build sustainable revenue models and sustainable impact models.

Be part of stoking the fires of change! Join us online! This 2-hour online workshop is for anyone who wishes to cultivate right relations but is unsure where to begin. This is not your typical workshop! Expect stories and creative activities that will inspire you to:

  • Unpack unconscious bias, privilege, and misconceptions in a safer space
  • Learn about Indigenous practices of inclusion
  • Build a foundation for engaging more meaningfully with Indigenous people

As Nicki Sanchez expresses in this ted talk, decolonization is for everyone: ‘This history is not your fault, but it is absolutely your responsibility.’ The goal of our workshop is to build participants courage, capacity and commitment to take steps into creating a future our grandchildren would be proud of.

Who is the workshop for?

Everyone who is interested in building better relationships with Indigenous people is invited and no background training is necessary.

How should I prepare?

We’ll be in touch a few days before the event with some light pre-reading (30-60 mins of content).

September 17th, 2020
10:00 am – 12:00 noon PST on Zoom

COST: $100 – $200
(with additional cost barrier options)
