Our Mission

IndigenEYEZ is about transforming communities. Our mission is to inspire an intergenerational legacy of well-being among First Nations people in BC and beyond.

We blend land-based learning with the arts and best practices in community-building. Our approach—the Creative Empowerment Model—is being used around the world. It has been refined over the past two decades by Partners For Youth Empowerment (www.PartnersForYouth.org), an organization that generously shares its knowledge with many partners. IndigenEYEZ has adapted this approach especially for First Nations.

Testimonials

An elder approached me to tell me about how much she loved the conference. She said that for the first time in the 8 years she has been attending she was able to open up and be vulnerable in a brand new way. She said to me: ‘Never in a million years would I have danced by myself in front of 200 colleagues’.
