Leadership Essentials

Our Adult Programs teach powerful tools for working with community. Let us help you energize your youth workers. Enhance the leadership of Chief and Council. Improve dynamics among staff members. Develop better relations with partners.

IndigenEYEZ offers two main trainings, as well as a follow-up set of focus workshops to take your learning further.

In this 2-day experiential workshop, participants gain strategies for engaging a full range of learning styles and bringing out the strengths of each group member. Learn techniques for bringing the arts into your work with groups of all sizes. Come away with a large toolbox of easy-to-lead activities.

You will learn:

  • Ways to enliven learning, deepen reflection, and develop social and emotional skills

  • Ways to create safe environments for creative exploration

  • Practical models of creative process and group dynamics

  • How to build relationships across ages, professions, and cultures

  • Easy-to-lead activities based on storytelling, creative writing, visual arts, music, drama, and movement

This 2-day experiential workshop is all about increasing your skills as a facilitator. Learn important tools for strength-based communication. Discover how to support social and emotional learning. Help groups come alive and develop a high level of participation. Create an atmosphere where participants take creative risks and speak from the heart.

You will learn how to:

  • Present yourself comfortably, clearly and confidently to a group

  • Design and deliver effective lessons, workshops and meetings

  • Create a safe space for honest and creative expression

  • Relate and respond to challenging participants

Tailor your follow up sessions to fit your needs—choose any combination of topics for the length of time that suits your team. From a 1/2 day training to 2 days or more, each workshop is flexible.
